Thanks for sharing your experience. I can really appreciate your reverence for nature; nature really teaches us how small we are in the world, and how helpless we can be against it's power. The beauty of nature feeds the spirit, no matter what continent an individual lives on.
Without having read your blog, I would not have understood some very important facts, such as the elevation of the lake, and how long to get there. I really liked how you ended the article, suggesting that age means nothing on the spiritual journey.Tracer_Tracyhttp://blog.tracerproductions.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8646030733795701511.post-11196743793071489412013-05-14T13:54:55.346+05:302013-05-14T13:54:55.346+05:30I feel i travelled all the way with you. well arti...I feel i travelled all the way with you. well articulated! :) I am going to roopkund with Indiahikes this June, and i'm euphoric :D :) Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13743608306499726297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8646030733795701511.post-37217345600314319002013-05-14T13:52:21.196+05:302013-05-14T13:52:21.196+05:30I feel i travelled all the way with you. well arti...I feel i travelled all the way with you. well articulated! :) I am going to roopkund with Indiahikes this June, and i'm euphoric :D :) Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13743608306499726297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8646030733795701511.post-82129004794368993392012-01-01T21:44:49.659+05:302012-01-01T21:44:49.659+05:30Dadi mama, thanks; I did not write the details of ...Dadi mama, thanks; I did not write the details of mystery of skeletons as these have been dealt with in many websites, such as www.wikipedia.org.
pl view the slide show, the link of which is given in the blog for more pictures including brahm kamal.Sudhir Khandelwalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03305756205792734369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8646030733795701511.post-17969565415741394262011-12-30T22:27:43.320+05:302011-12-30T22:27:43.320+05:30Details of track route are clear and impressive. Well, ...Dear Renu, thank you for visiting the blog. Well, how did I react? In fact I never thought about it till you asked me! No, I don't think it was due to numbness caused by fatigue or cold that I did not have any reaction. I was expecting these skeletons. I did think of fury and might of nature at that time (besides its being so beautiful), and these skeletons were perhaps a reminder of the fact that we ought to respect nature.
Stories about the Roopkund and the human skeletons there is already available on wikipedia, and hence did not repeat it.Sudhir Khandelwalhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03305756205792734369noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8646030733795701511.post-35140621897402497142011-11-27T16:24:22.161+05:302011-11-27T16:24:22.161+05:30Great!

By reading it i felt like going through the Roopkund journey for 2nd time sitting here in bangalore.
People like you, Shariff sab & Malini Ji are the Inspiration of fellow trekkers throughout the Roopkund journey. In fact i have been mentioning you 3 in my conversations after trek with the curious people who asked about the trek. If you 3 in spite of your old age (you all have a younger mind than me) can complete the trek why not anyone else ? (many of my friends are inspired by you guys and seriously planning to register for the May trek. I enjoyed your company right from day 1 while we travelled together from Khathgodam to Lohajung in a back breaking journey. Your sweet words, caring nature and experience sharing made me ignore the jumps & bumps of the journey.
